I really need to talk to you guys about something. It's important, and I could be jumping the gun a little, but I wanted to see if it might be a viable option before I take it to Kurt. I don't want to freak him out or make him think I'm pressuring him, so want to get it all set before I do.

I know you'll probably want to say no, but do you think we could maybe meet and for coffee. I need to talk to you about stuff.

What: Awkward moment
Where: The Hoyt House Inn
When: After THIS

The only place to stay Puck and Quinn could find with vacancies was a romantic little guest house in Amelia Island. It was only about fifteen minutes drive from the clinic Kurt was in, and if they went further afield to search for a hotel, it would just put them further away if either Kurt or Blaine needed them, and they both promised they would be near by. But what they soon discovered was that it wasn't 'vacancies' and more just a single vacancy, and in a double room to boot. If they wanted to stay here, they were going to have a share a bed, and if ever there was an awkward moment, it was that.

But their loyalty to their favourite gay guys won out, and a quick discussion ended with them both saying 'But Kurt might need--' and 'But Blaine might need--' simultaneously, so it sealed the awkward deal. Now they were together in the quaint and charming little Hoyt Master Suite, with the receptionist assuming they were on their honeymoon or something and giving them the 'Honeymoon Package', which included champagne, strawberries and chocolates in their room with matching bathrobes. Both were like a deer caught in headlights that they just agreed to it to shut the woman up and then hurried to the room to get away from there.

Now Quinn was lying stiffly on the four poster bad, hands folded over her stomach as she gazed up at the ceiling of the room with a soft clear of her throat. "So, uh... now what?"

Quinn had been on edge ever since Kurt got admitted to the eating disorder clinic for the third time. He had been doing so well with his condition, managing it, and had even put some weight on and was getting back to his normal weight range. But then things started to get stressful for him, and he began to slip. By the time Blaine rode into his life like a knight in shining armour, Kurt was already too far gone. Now it had all come to light, and Kurt just kept slipping, this whole thing was inevitable.

She pulled into the parking lot of the clinic, which was actually a lovely building surrounded by beautiful gardens that the patients had the use of. Quinn knew from speaking to Blaine briefly a couple of times in the lead up to Kurt going that he thought it was going to be some horrible, bleak lock-up like a mental hospital, but it was far from that. It was actually a lot like a hotel, just more clinical on the inside. The rooms were pleasant and like a guest house so the patients weren't given the sensation they were trapped in a hospital or holding cell. But at the end of the day, it was still a medical facility and it was still where Kurt needed to be to get the intense treatment. He just wasn't coping with it like they hoped. His last stay here had been brief. He bounced back well and got back on his feet. The time before that was the worst where they had to feed him nasally and he was dangerously skinny and ended up with pneumonia and put in hospital anyway.

Blaine suggested they meet him here, and Puck and Quinn had stopped to get some lunch for the three of them on the way so they could bring Blaine something to eat. Burt had said Kurt taken a turn that he was just psychologically rejecting food. He ate, he threw up, and without even forcing himself too. They were thinking about nasal-feeding again, and that's what had freaked Blaine out and caused Quinn to decide to come up... and bring Puck with her. She shut the car off and turned to Puck, who was nursing the bags of takeout food. "You okay?" she asked him. "I promise, this is not like a mental facility at all."

What: Double date... and then some.
Where: Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Miami Lakes
When: Thursday night
Rating: Leaving it open for now

It was true, Blaine really was like a dog with a bone. Once he decided he was going to try and nudge Puck into Quinn's direction, hopefully without either of them realising, he wasn't going to give up on the idea. And really, a double date had to be fun, right? Blaine always wanted to get a boyfriend so he could double-date with his BFF and patience really wasn't his virtue. Why wait on something like that? For some reason, though, when he suggested it to both Puck and Quinn, neither of them protested. It might have been because he worded it in a way like he was going to surprise Kurt and that both their BFFs should get along, right? Maybe they didn't actually realise he was setting them up on a date? That didn't matter. Blaine could still work with this.

But Kurt had been the one to very reluctant agree. Blaine told him he wanted to take him out for another date, but that it was going to be 'a surprise'. Kurt didn't seem into the notion, and he didn't seem a fan of surprises, but Blaine reassured him with would be fun and he would love it. Though, maybe he missed that mark because now they were all seated at the quaint little table for four in the restaurant waiting for their huge main course to arrive, Kurt was sitting back in his seat and eyeing Puck and Quinn across the table, cool blue eyes sliding back and forth between them before they locked back on Blaine's face wordlessly.

Blaine just grinned and took Kurt's hand on the table, giving it a squeeze. "I love pizza! Do you love pizza? There is nothing better than it, I swear. It smells amazing." Okay, so maybe he was somewhat oblivious to the discomfort Kurt was feeling right now. It was a double-date with their best friends! That just equalled fun in Blaine's mind, and it would be even moreso when they went bowling afterwards. Who didn't like bowling?

What: A fag's hags verses the boyfriend
Where: Kurt, Quinn and Mercedes' apartment, Miami
When: Morning after THIS
Rating: Watch this space

It was one of those rare days where Mercedes and Quinn had the morning off together, even if it was just because Quinn decided to skip class for the day to make sure Kurt was okay and Mercedes managed to swap a shift at work for the same purpose. Thank god Cameron was such a sweetheart, because he was more than happy to take her shift when he heard what was going down with Kurt. He was Holly's best friend and knew the situation 100%. Friendship really was priceless sometimes.

But now, the two fag hags sat together at the kitchen table sharing a pot of tea while they chatted quietly together about Kurt and the entire situation. They were beyond worried, and neither of them knew yet what it was that triggered Kurt's extreme and abrupt slip. It was a bad one, too. Quinn had come home from college to find him sprawled unconscious over the base of the treadmill, which had still been operating. It was a miracle he didn't smash his entire face in. There was vomit all over the place as if that had begun before he passed out, and more than enough evidence that he had been on the laxatives too. When she found the remnants of an intense binge session in his bedroom, she knew what had happened. Mercedes had come home a short time after that and together they got him cleaned up and to the hospital to make sure he didn't have a serious head injury. To hear he was malnourished and dehydrated also didn't even come as a surprise to them. This wasn't the first time they had been here.

He had been doing so well, though, and this had come on quickly. Something had to have triggered it. "I really thought Blaine was gonna be the crossroads," she said to Quinn with a sigh as she topped their mugs up from the teapot. "You don't think having a boyfriend has made Kurt relapse, do you?" But before Quinn could answer, as if like he had been summoned, Blaine appeared in the doorway of the kitchen looking ruffled with his hair sticking up in all direction and still sporting creased up the side of his face. If the disoriented look in his face coupled with his appearance told them anything, it was that he had just woken up.

"Morning, honey," she greeted him with a smile. "Do you want some tea?"

Don't mean to put you in awkward position, dude, but as long as Rachel hates my boyfriend, I won't be talking to her. Because Kurt is not going anywhere and I certainly won't be breaking up with him any time soon.

I was wondering if you wanted to get a drink or something sometime? I figured now that our fags have become a unit, you and I should be on civil terms. And it might give Kurt and Blaine the luxury of your empty apartment for an evening...
