I really need to talk to you guys about something. It's important, and I could be jumping the gun a little, but I wanted to see if it might be a viable option before I take it to Kurt. I don't want to freak him out or make him think I'm pressuring him, so want to get it all set before I do.

He ate most of his breakfast this morning. Just a waiting game to see if it stays down. He's taking a shower and we're going for a walk in the garden soon.

How connected to your apartment are you guys?

Our poor darling. It's so tough on him. I know the re-learning to eat is the hardest part. He suffers so much. Y'all been going okay in your relationship, or still niggles?

Um, well, we've lived there a few years now. Boy, you gonna ask our Kurt to move in with you?

I can't lie, Mercedes. I honestly had no clue it would be this hard. I knew he was sick, but witnessing how much it has a hold of him in person is scary. He tries so hard, but sometimes the food just... wins. We're taking each day, but so far, he's really let me help him.

Um, well, sort of. More, I thought maybe all of us could get a beach house together or something. I want to keep helping Kurt when he gets out of the clinic, but I don't want to take him away from you guys, and I don't want to move out away from Puck, either. So, I thought maybe we could could merge our rent and get a bigger place so we can all live together.

Do you think it would work? I don't want to freak him out, but I don't know if I can just go back to not being around to help him when they let him out. The doctors keep telling me that even once he goes home, it will be a long recovery time.

I think so... Even Kurt's doctors and therapist have said that he responds really well to you. You make him feel safe, man. I think it would help him to know that you're always close by if he needs you.

I was just worried because they said a big part of this whole thing is control. That people with what Kurt has like to stay in their comfort zone because it helps them feel like they have control over it. I thought it might shake him up too much, but a house might be nice. Near the beach, more room. Plus, we'd all be around to help if he needed it.

All you can really do is ask him. Let him know it's totally up to him, and if he doesn't want to, that's completely okay with you, too.

That's what I thought I would do. I don't want to freak him out, nothing is a given. If he needs to go back to exactly how his life was before, I'll understand. It will be hard, but I get it.

He's doing a lot better. The doctors just said it's good to have a longer-term plan for after all this so that when Kurt gets discharged, he can have a better idea of what's coming. Often it's the fear of the unknown that can trigger relapses... and probably why me coming into his life caused one. I thought it was my fault, but I get now that this goes deeper than that. I need to work with him so we can go at his pace. Once they explained that to me, I understood better what I needed to do rather than just freaking out that it was all my fault.
