"We just pull through our lives so alone. That's why you've got to hold me."

Who: [livejournal.com profile] justbeingaqueen and [livejournal.com profile] rockstarwarbler
What: I might need you to hold me tonight...
Where: Puck and Blaine's apartment
When: Three days after the explosion
Rating: PG

It was three in the morning and absolutely pouring with rain outside. Even though they lived in one of the middle-ish floors of the apartment building, Blaine could still hear the rain beating heavily on his window as he lay wrapped up in a cocoon of covers in his bed. It had been three days since the devastating double-date at the pizza place and the only time Blaine had moved out of his protective ball of blankets was to use the bathroom, shower, and occasionally eat if Puck or the twins brought him anything and he felt hungry. Mostly he didn't, though, and just left the tray on his dresser. Luckily it was spring break and there was no college, and he had cancelled all the music lessons he had booked, citing illness. He was miserable and heartbroken, and missed Kurt beyond belief.

The rain falling was making it harder and harder to ignore the urge to pee though. He had been sleeping on and off all night, but hadn't had a consitent sleep since the disaster happened. He couldn't switch his brain off in a mix of missing Kurt, being angry at him for ruining everything, and worrying about him with the illness that seemed to plague him so terribly. Blaine couldn't fight the need for the bathroom any longer, and pushed up out of bed to shuffle through the apartment to the toilet. He made sure he was quiet as he passed Puck's room and then the spare bedroom that Sebastian and Jeremy were sharing, and the rain had left the weather cold and miserable, so Blaine wasn't planning on being out of his nest of misery for any longer than he needed to be.

He was just washing his hands after waiting for the water to run warm through the taps when the apartment buzzer sounded and he nearly crapped himself in fright and splashed water all down the front of his Shrek pyjama top... )

Still pouring rain. Guess it seems fitting, considering everything. We cannot get Blaine out of bed.

"Brothers gonna work it out."

Who: [livejournal.com profile] theundapperone, [livejournal.com profile] jewhawk and [livejournal.com profile] dapperdevious (post order)
What: Bro back-up, stat!
Where: Puck and Blaine's bachelor pad, Miami
When: After THIS
Rating: Probably high

Some days, it was still a little strange that Blaine was Sebastian and Jeremy's stepbrother. He and Sebastian went to Dalton Academy together whilst Jeremy saw out his high school days in a public school, but it was in their junior year that their State's Attorney father met Blaine's newly divorced mother and fell for her. It wasn't long before they got married, and all the boys became stepbrothers. It took a lot of getting used to and was more weird for Sebastian and Blaine than anything else, but they ended up rocking it and became close even if the twins went to study in France together after school.

Now they were back on American soil, and right at the best time, apparently. They had just touched down at Miami Airport when Puck's text came through that Blaine's new (and first) relationship had just crashed and burned. The twins knew Puck from school and those times he came with Blaine to family things, so they were all good mates. It only made sense they would rally at this time to try to figure out how the fuck they could protect Blaine right... but maybe they couldn't.

Jeremy came back into the kitchen and sat down at the table with Sebastian and Puck. "He's asleep. I don't know how long he'll stay like that, but I losing that much snot must have exhausted him," he said sympathetically. "Dude, that the hell happened?" he asked Puck in concern.

What: Double date... and then some.
Where: Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Miami Lakes
When: Thursday night
Rating: Leaving it open for now

It was true, Blaine really was like a dog with a bone. Once he decided he was going to try and nudge Puck into Quinn's direction, hopefully without either of them realising, he wasn't going to give up on the idea. And really, a double date had to be fun, right? Blaine always wanted to get a boyfriend so he could double-date with his BFF and patience really wasn't his virtue. Why wait on something like that? For some reason, though, when he suggested it to both Puck and Quinn, neither of them protested. It might have been because he worded it in a way like he was going to surprise Kurt and that both their BFFs should get along, right? Maybe they didn't actually realise he was setting them up on a date? That didn't matter. Blaine could still work with this.

But Kurt had been the one to very reluctant agree. Blaine told him he wanted to take him out for another date, but that it was going to be 'a surprise'. Kurt didn't seem into the notion, and he didn't seem a fan of surprises, but Blaine reassured him with would be fun and he would love it. Though, maybe he missed that mark because now they were all seated at the quaint little table for four in the restaurant waiting for their huge main course to arrive, Kurt was sitting back in his seat and eyeing Puck and Quinn across the table, cool blue eyes sliding back and forth between them before they locked back on Blaine's face wordlessly.

Blaine just grinned and took Kurt's hand on the table, giving it a squeeze. "I love pizza! Do you love pizza? There is nothing better than it, I swear. It smells amazing." Okay, so maybe he was somewhat oblivious to the discomfort Kurt was feeling right now. It was a double-date with their best friends! That just equalled fun in Blaine's mind, and it would be even moreso when they went bowling afterwards. Who didn't like bowling?

Sugar, and grease, and salt. Yay. Why do all the romantic gestures in this freaking world involve food?
