It took Mercedes a few moments to realise Kurt was referencing Rachel here, which was odd in itself. After the epic fallout with them that let to Kurt pretty much peaking in his ED relapse, they had seemed to forge some usual connection of late. No one knew what they spoke about, they did speak. Mercedes thought it was strange, too, that Rachel was supposed to be BFFs with Blaine and Puck, but she hadn't visited their new place nor seemed to be a presence much at all. How did that even work? Then there was the fact Kurt had referenced Rachel leaving for New York at some point, but Blaine seemed oblivious to it. Kurt was in on something and for a moment, Mercedes wondered if she should be jealous. Not that Kurt would ever replace them as his hags, but still. They had to approve of another joining their ranks, right, and she was still pissed Rachel for telling Kurt he needed to be on RuPaul's Drag Race, though Rachel had extensively apologised for that. Now all of a sudden she was being brought up randomly again, and Kurt seemed less than impressed with Quinn's bombshell here. He would either relent on the bitcheness of Quinn's bad mood, or he would hold her to it for awhile yet, news or not.

Mercedes just gaped at Quinn and then put her hand up. "Hold up, girl. How long exactly have you know this and you didn't think it might be something you should tell us? Who's the baby daddy? Obviously it's someone we know if you think it's gonna be a huge mess. More to the point, are you going to keep it? You got Law School laying out ahead of you, girlfriend! How the hell did you even manage to get into a mess like this when you've been all hooked on Puckerman for awhile there? How did you go from that having some other guy's bun in the oven, or are we completely missing a whole lot more here than meets the eye?"
