Some days, it was still a little strange that Blaine was Sebastian and Jeremy's stepbrother. He and Sebastian went to Dalton Academy together whilst Jeremy saw out his high school days in a public school, but it was in their junior year that their State's Attorney father met Blaine's newly divorced mother and fell for her. It wasn't long before they got married, and all the boys became stepbrothers. It took a lot of getting used to and was more weird for Sebastian and Blaine than anything else, but they ended up rocking it and became close even if the twins went to study in France together after school.

Now they were back on American soil, and right at the best time, apparently. They had just touched down at Miami Airport when Puck's text came through that Blaine's new (and first) relationship had just crashed and burned. The twins knew Puck from school and those times he came with Blaine to family things, so they were all good mates. It only made sense they would rally at this time to try to figure out how the fuck they could protect Blaine right... but maybe they couldn't.

Jeremy came back into the kitchen and sat down at the table with Sebastian and Puck. "He's asleep. I don't know how long he'll stay like that, but I losing that much snot must have exhausted him," he said sympathetically. "Dude, that the hell happened?" he asked Puck in concern.

"Absolutely... Kurt's scared half to death about what this means. It's been hard enough to hide his illness with dedicated hags around, but... then with Blaine, who obviously wants him on every level, including the physical? It's gotta scare the shit out of him. Kurt's been sick since high school... Quinn said that's how they ended up friends... She caught him. But this is hard for Kurt to understand. He thinks he's gross and disgusting, and now here's this dude that wants him, and it's shaken him up." Puck leaned forward, touching his lips with his index fingers.

"Maybe he doesn't need all of us," Puck countered thoughtfully. "Maybe just Quinn and Blaine. She understands because she's been through all of this with him, and Blaine... Well, I think Blaine's the crucial piece of this whole thing. He changes it all, you know? He's a game changer, and maybe that's what Kurt needs in the long run. Even Quinn said it... That the fact that Blaine's a fuckin' hemorrhoid when he wants to be might be just what Kurt needs. I just... It's gonna be a tough road no matter how it goes down, but we gotta be in this with Blaine if he needs us. That's our priority."

Sebastian had fallen quiet, taking it all in like he had a tendency to do. He was listening to his twin's explanations now, eyes narrowed slightly in thought. "How did Kurt roll with other boyfriends, though? Did Quinn say what his track record was like? If they all crashed and burned, is it worth Blaine putting everything on the line if it's inevitably going to end up a trainwreck? Or... are you saying he's never had other relationships? Shit. No fucking way. Are they both waving the V-cards?" he said as the penny finally dropped. It was either laugh or just gape in disbelief. In the end, he did a mix of both. "Two virgins under one roof? That should be fucking illegal."

He scratching he head and huffed out a heavy breath. "I call B forever being a virgin at this rate. Kurt's never going to pop his cherry with this many hang ups."

Jeremy made no hesitation in giving his brother a pointed but light slap on the arm. "Bloody hell, there is more to this than sex, doofus. Not everyone's worlds revolve around sex, you know. And I realise I'm preaching to the choir with you two, but you're just going to have to trust me. Blaine might want to get laid sooner rather than later now he has found someone that is special to him, but if Kurt is sick and needs help, there is no way Blaine is going to be all 'Uh, bitch, GTFO, I want to get my cock on the move'. That's not Blaine. It might be something you guys would do, but not Blaine. He would wait for Kurt, I know he would. And if Kurt can get the help he needs to get better, maybe he might start wanting more of that stuff from Blaine too? Why the hell can't they be what each other needs. Why does it all have to be so friggen black and white?"

Yes, he was getting frustrated and faintly huffy now. He was one of those people who like sex with a special person he had a connection with. He wasn't a fan of casual sex and never really had been. Sebastian had enough of that for both of them. "And how and when Blaine pops his cherry is none of our business anyway."

"Kurt never had a boyfriend before," Puck explained. "So, this whole thing is new. He's never let anybody this close, but you know how Blaine is. When he has feelings like this, he's relentless as fuck. I found it out first hand when we were in high school and I was trying to be a fucking moron. But I know Blaine, and I know he's not the type to end a relationship just because he's not getting laid. He cares about Kurt more than I think I totally realized until it was falling apart."

"As much as I never thought I'd be saying anything like this," he began, tapping his fingers on the table in front of him. "Jez really is right. This ain't about us, or even really about B getting his sex on. It's about him finding a person he really cares about, and the fact that there's a huge fucking mess right now that he's going to have to work really hard to get through."

"So, Kurt's a virgin too, but one with body issues?" All Sebastian could do was give another disbelieving laugh accompanied with a snort. "No good can come of this. It just can't. I don't care how super-schmoopy Blaine is and how much he wants to run off into the sunset hand-in-hand with his Prince Charming. Kurt's got so many damn issues, that there is no way Blaine isn't going to just get more hurt with this. He's in there now probably bawling his fucking eyes out over this because he got booted so goddamn hard in the nuts by this apparent Prince Charming and we're just going to agree we're okay to sit here and let this happen repeatedly while Kurt battles the demons?"

He just shook his head and held his hands up in surrender. "I fold. But don't whine to me when it hurts like a bitch to stand back and watch Blaine's heart getting stopped all over by a proverbial pristine Doc Martin boot when all of Kurt's issues have to be put above and beyond any of Blaine's so he doesn't do something stupid like starve himself to death. And may I remind everyone that Blaine does have a lot of issues himself, that I know for a fact he hasn't told Kurt?"

Jeremy fell quiet for a little then, a troubled frown passing over his features. "I'm not saying any of this is an ideal situation, okay? I know it's not. Sometimes, shit does really just happen, and sometimes, people hurt because of the shit. This is one of those times. Kurt and Blaine are both going to get hurt, but maybe they both just need to hurt more together before they can fix more together? Blaine is in love with Kurt. He might not have admitted it out loud, or admitted it to Kurt, but he is. He wouldn't be feeling like this right now if he didn't. And that right there is something we can't just palm off under the guise of not wanting Blaine to hurt anymore. Once you lay your heart on the line for someone when you love them, it's you saying you're willing to hurt for them. End of story."

"Blaine's past and Kurt's present aren't the same thing. And for all we know, Kurt's present is because of his past. Puck just said as much. They haven't had time to confide, or haven't been ready. Both just as important as each other. Do you honestly think Blaine is just going to sit there and let Kurt starve himself? Blaine wouldn't sit there and let a bloody bug starve itself. When Blaine gets up in the morning, not being able to help Kurt is going to eat him up a hell of a lot more than not having a relationship with him," he predicted.

In all honesty, Puck's head was starting to pound from the stress of thinking this whole situation over, and he hated it when two sides of the same situation seemed equally right in his mind. He hated the idea of Blaine hurting through this all, and maybe what Kurt had done had been the merciful thing, but in the long run, he knew Blaine. And he wasn't going to be happy just letting it go and moving on. He would need to help Kurt, just like he'd needed to help Puck years ago, though in different ways, and with different emotions behind it.

"The thing is," Puck said finally. "What Blaine wants and needs to do is what he's gonna do in the long run, and whether or not we think it's what's best for him, in the end, it's his choice. He has to decide what he's going to do. So unfortunately, if he decides to try to work things out with Kurt, and that hurts him? We all have to be here for him, because he's our boy..."

Sebastian finally decided to surrender on the conversation. "We could sit here all night debating the good, the bad and the ugly of this entire things, but we're going to just end up going around in circles. Bottom line is, Blaine in there bawling his fucking eyes out, devastated as all holy fuck, and Kurt is... somewhere else not there with Blaine. That was Kurt's choice, and he dealt with it in an extremely fucking shitty way. If he was just honest with Blaine, the dude wouldn't be this hurt right now. So yeah, I'm bitter about that. Blaine's our brother and he laid his heart on the line for this dude, only to get it smooshed into a million pieces."

"But it's late, and I'm as jetlagged as all fuck, so I'm hitting the sack. All we can do is see how he is in the morning and try to help him figure shit out if he wants us to." He pushed back from the table and got up, giving them both a wave. "Night. Get some sleep, Germ. I know you. You can't stay up all night worrying," he said before exiting, pausing only to ruffle his twin's hair affectionately as he did.

Jeremy gave a small, soft wry snort, but gave his brother a bit of a fond nudge as he left the table in response. He watched Sebastian leave the room and then sighed, rubbing both hands over his face. He was exhausted too. He was never the sort to sleep very well on a plane and the jetlag was beginning to set in for him too. He just wasn't sure how well he would sleep knowing Blaine was in there miserable, but Blaine had cried himself to sleep, so maybe that was a sign to try and get some shut-eye too.

He gave a tiny, tired groan. "What a mess," he murmured with a sigh and rested his hands back down on the tabletop. "I might just go check on Blaine again to make sure he's okay, and then grab a shower. I can't say I'm all that optimistic on sleep happening after all this, but maybe we all need to try and get some rest?"

The fact of it was, Kurt really had dealt with things in the wrong way, and had really hurt Blaine, but could he be totally blamed for it if he was ill? Puck really wasn't entirely sure, but like the twins, he was exhausted, too. Only, from the stress of the day, not from jet lag. He nodded at both brothers, slowly pushing himself up from the table and giving Jez a brief bro-hug. "Sucks this is the way it's going, man, but it's good to see you and Seb just the same," he said.

Quietly, he gave a nod of agreement. "Goodnight, dude. See you tomorrow," he murmured before shuffling off to his own room.
