Once again, Sebastian and Jez were both making sense, and Puck was honestly glad that he was sitting down, because all the back and forth in his brain was making his head start to spin. On one hand, Puck had hoped that Kurt would be able to work through this for Blaine, but at the end of the day, Puck had seen people with various mental illnesses that led to their detriment and harm over his years as a cop. And while other people could be motivation, at the end of the day, you had to do it for yourself, too, and maybe Kurt hadn't reached a place where he mattered enough to himself to want to do what was for himself. And maybe he needed Blaine's bull-at-a-gate kind of love to show him what he was worth.
"Seb, you know I'd kill to protect Blaine, just like you would. But maybe Jez is right. Maybe it is Kurt trying to protect Blaine. In fact, I'm almost 100% sure that's what it is, and if that's what it is, maybe Kurt's a better guy than any of us even thought of." Not that Puck hadn't thought Kurt was a good guy, but still. This was a pretty massive sacrifice on his part if that's what it was.
