"You sound pretty set on it. What are you going to do if you don't get it? Do you have a Plan B?" Nick laughed and shook his head. "No, no. I'm not heading back home. I need to be based in Miami. Most of my work is here. I love it, it's just an extension of home, really. It's all Florida, so no big deal. I love the beach here, and it's bigger than Jacksonville. Plus, all my friends are here now. I've travelled so far and so much, I don't really feel rooted in any one place. I can quite happily freely move around whenever I need to. In fact, I get bored when I'm stuck somewhere too long. I love the drive home, so that's no big deal. They'll keep me in until my blood sugar is stable. Then it will be a few weeks off work because I do travel with it and they don't want me being an insurance liability."

He gave a small gesture with his hand. "Blaine deserves us to at least make an effort. And Kurt for that matter. If it all works out with them, my world and your world are pretty much going to be firmly connected. Same parties, same hang outs, same get-togethers. It's just the way it will roll. And honestly, I'm too tired to maintain any old negativity." He just gave him a faint smile, but chose not to actually touch the ass comment seeing as Jeff was going to leave.
