Friendship is found in the most unlikely of places...

Who? [livejournal.com profile] jewhawk and [livejournal.com profile] tasteslikepnk
What? Catching up with your friend/baby mama/best friend's hag
When? Tuesday, the day after this, Lunchtime
Where? LifeFood
Rating: Anything's possible except sex. Cuz Puckleberry don't play that anymore...

Maybe it was weird being really good friends with your ex. And maybe it was even weirder when said ex was also the mother of your child that you gave up for adoption. But then again, Puck and Rachel had never been big fans of normal, and they didn't seem to mind being far less than these days. Puck picked Rachel up at her place of employment, and drove to LifeFood, a restaurant with a lot of vegan options. Puck had figured out pretty quickly that there was no pleasing Rachel without vegan options, and over the years, he'd gotten used to knowing where she could and couldn't eat.

Puck parked his Suburban outside the restaurant, and the pair headed inside, ordering drinks and food before settling in for conversation. "Rach, you've got to get a new job," Puck said, sipping his drink. "That dude should be in jail, or at the very least jobless with the bullshit he pulls on you."

Rachel's boss was probably high up on the list of Puck's least favorite people in the world, but then, there was the fact that, like it or hate it, Rachel was an adult, and she had to make her own decisions, no matter how much of a protective instinct Puck might have over her.
